I know it is so typical of pregnant ladies to say that the pregnancy goes by fast. But seriously where has the time gone? I can honestly say that I can not believe that it has already been twenty-four weeks. That means that it has been six months of growing our little bee already. It feels like it is all going by so fast! A lot has changed over the past 12 weeks since my last bump date. Sooo I thought I would share with all of you what some of those changes are from moving house to a moving baby, my current cravings and weight gain to everything in between. Are you ready to hear about all things baby and belly? Because I know I am!

Hello Second Trimester

I heard about people calling the second trimester “Honeymoon Period” and for good reason too. The Nausea has disappeared, my clothing mostly fits still and my emotions seem to be relatively balanced, just don’t show me a cute video of puppies or love and I’ll be okay! As well my baby bump has slowly started to make its appearance which I am loving because I no longer look like I have eaten too much all the time. And on an even more exciting note, we had our second ultrasound!! Do you know what that means? We get to find out the sex of our little bundle of joy! So far the second trimester has been wonderful and we are looking forward to what our little bundle of joy will be!

  Movement & More

Let’s talk about the rolling, the kicking and what feels like he or she is having a dance party that I wasn’t invited to! Yes, it is true the bubbles have officially turned into kicks and rolls that not only I but my fiance can feel too! It is the most amazing and interesting feeling in the world. It makes the pregnancy feel so much more real. The first time we really felt our little bee kick caught both of us off guard. It was at about 11 o’clock at night as Jeremy and I were laying in bed and talking about the baby and life. Then all of a sudden I felt a kick! I told Jeremy to feel because I thought I was crazy and then a minute later our little bee kicked again! It was a very neat experience!

Weight Gain & Cravings

Along with swollen ankles comes more weight and cravings. Oh the cravings!! I have been pretty good so far and haven’t experienced any hankering cravings but the other day I needed a Twix. It all started with a video I watched on Facebook. It was an icecream rolls video and after I watched it all I could think about was a Twix. I tried to brush it off but after 2 or 3 hours it was still all I could think about! So my lovely fiance went to town and got me one and after that, I was so so happy! Along with the flash cravings comes the weight gain. Since the start of my pregnancy to now, I have gained a total of 15 lbs going from 118 lbs to 133 lbs. It is probably the highest weight I have been and I am okay with that! Just as long as the baby is born healthy and happy that is the most important thing!!
