A picture is a poem without words.

I have never understood how someone can say they do not like pictures and detest to be in a single one. I am not like that at all. I love pictures, taking them and being in them. The right shot can capture so much raw emotion it is incredible! From udder sadness, to complete happiness and everything in-between.

Although perfectly curated picture with all the fancy props can be beautiful too there is something so much more special about the ones that are taken in the moment. Those are the ones that capture the moments as they are, raw, real and unfiltered. Those are the ones that when you will look back on one day, will throw you back to that day, that place, that time, that moment!

Take the ones when they are looking the ones of the everyday mundane activities. Playing with the kids, staring out the window, drinking the morning coffee in the winter.

So next time you are second guessing getting out the camera to capture a picture of your family or your friend or a moment you want to remember. Do not think twice about it. Get out your camera and take the shot. Take it even if the background is messy or your outfit isn’t quite right. It may just become one of your favorites! Or if you are waiting for the perfect time to get some photos taken quit waiting and make the investment. A picture lasts forever and there is no better time than now. You never what tomorrow holds!

|Our Family Spring Family Session |

In May we dressed up, relaxed, and got some lovely family photos taken with an amazing local photographer Ashlee Nadine. The session lasted half an hour and was wonderful. Ashlee made us feel so so comfortable and got loads of amazing shots, I’m talking like 100, leaving me with the impossible decision of choosing 5. Of course, I could have gotten more but we stuck with the 5 and after days of deciding, I finally did it. Take a scroll to see what 5 decided on!! And click here to book your shoot with Ashlee!!
