Planning a wedding does not half to break the bank or leave you and your loved one starting your life together in dept. That is why I have come up with 6 simple ways to help you save big on your wedding day.

When I started the wedding planning process I knew I wanted to do my best to stay on budget and not break the bank but still have the wedding of my dreams. It sounds hard but it is easier than one may think. It just takes a little patience, lots of research to find the best prices, and determination.

So if you are planning your big day try these simple ways to save big on your wedding day. You will not be disappointed! And less money spent on the wedding means more to put towards the honeymoon!

| 6 Ways To Save|

| 1 | Make Your Own Invitations
This is something that for some people is easier said than done but as someone who made their own invites I know, it is possible! And it is so much fun because you can customize them in every way imaginable. Check out Canva, they offer templates for Save The Date card, Full Invitations, RSVP cards and so much more. | 2 | Ditch The Full Suit
Instead of doing a full suite look, go for a more casual dressy look with dark-wash blue jeans, a vest or suspenders. Or do an offset look, have the groom in a suit and the groomsmen wearing a simpler look.

| 3 | Take Your Time, Enjoy The Engagement
Don’t rush into getting married as soon as you can after the engagement sometimes you can get better prices when you book venues, buy bridesmaid dress, and caterers far enough in advance. And it also gives you time to slowly collect everything you need.

| 4 |Know When To DIY & When To Buy
DIY can be fun and a cheaper option for many items but not for everything. So before you pick up the hot glue gun and start your crafting do your research, look at how much the supplies with cost and compare it to buying the product premade.

| 5 | Keep It Sweet & Simple
All the bells and whistles do not always make for the best wedding. Try keeping it sweet and simple, this makes for a comfortable and relaxed vibe. And a relaxed bride and groom will radiate to the guests. Plus short simple and sweet makes for fewer things to go wrong.

| 6 | Skip The Caterer
Catering can be a great option but it isn’t always the best route to take. Try making things yourself, or doing half by catering and half by yourself. Or ask some family members to pitch in on baking, preparing salads and cooking. They will do happy to help on the big day and make it run smoothly.

I hope that some of these simple little tweaks help you save a lot of money on your upcoming wedding like they did for us. Because one of the hardest things I found was sticking to the budget. And remember that every dollar counts.
