There is nothing better than a surprise to turn an ordinary Saturday into so much more than that! This past Saturday my Maid of Honor and soon to be Mother in law pulled off a wonderful surprise bridal shower with the help of friends and family! I had a wonderful time and it makes me so happy to be able to call all the people there not only friends but family! We ate, laughed, chatted about all things wedding, opened gifts and played a fun game. A great surprise way to spend my Saturday.

I am one for a surprise! They are so much fun and I love hosting surprise events even more but it was so much fun being the one in the center too! I had no clue where we were going when we arrived and was surprised when I walked in to see all my family and friends. After some hellos and some snacks, it was time for a game.

We played a super cute and fun game called “Say What” the idea was who said what first. It had questions like who say “I love you” first or “who is the better driver” or “who has a better memory”. It was simple, fun, and gave everyone a few laughs when I told everyone about the toilet paper story haha, definitely not my finest moment!

Okay, I bet you are wondering what the toilet paper story is, am I right!? Well, I guess it is only fair if I tell you the story too! Who knows maybe it will make you laugh or maybe you will relate! So… here it goes… The other day I went to Safeway to get toilet paper and a few other things, the first time I went I forgot it, so I went back a few hours later. Forgot it AGAIN. Then I went back after Greyson went to bed to get an ice cream snack and toilet paper but do you think I remember the danmm toilet paper? NOPE. So I went to Safeway 3 times and forgot the #1 thing I needed each time!!

After the game, we opened gifts. I am so thankful for everyone who was there to celebrate it with me! And I am shocked by how gracious everyone was, I can not outfit my home and kitchen with some adorable decor. I also received this super cute gift from my soon to be sister in law and she says she got the idea from Pinterest! It was a “perfect pair” gift basket and it was a super cute idea. A basket filled with perfect pairs, hugs and kisses, salt and pepper, movie and popcorn and a few more!! A great gift idea if you want to steal it, wink wink!!

The last element that made this surprise bridal shower special was the “bring a recipe” idea! As a girl who loves baking and cooking you know that I love love LOVED this idea. Everyone brought one or two of their favourite recipes and put into a recipe box for me. Now I have a pretty box to keep all my recipes and so many yummy dishes to try!!

I am so thankful for everyone who came and celebrated me and Jeremy. It makes me so excited and happy to finally and officially call the man I love my husband and his family mine! Here is to forever and happily ever after.
