The Willingness to show up changes us.
It makes us a little braver each time.

There is no denying that 2020 was definitely a huge flop in many ways. We all endured things we never thought would happen in our lifetime. But not all of 2020 was a flop in our family, in fact, we did quite a bit in 2020. We bought and renovated our first home, we had our baby girl Emberly, navigated the covid lockdown, celebrated Greyson’s second birthday and our first anniversary. Overall 2020 was not so bad for us and for that I am so so so thankful!

However I am also very excited that it is a new year because they always feel like a fresh start, like turning the first page of a new book. That is exactly the feeling I needed after how stressful 2020.

So in trying to make 2021 a little lighter on the shoulders I decided to come up with a couple of words that I want to manifest thought the year. I chose 5 words that spoke to me, represented goals I want to achieve, and attitudes to have. Words that I would be able to manifest every day and remind me of want I want to achieve out of the year.

| My Five Words For 2021 |

STRIVE || I have been working very hard to make a vision come true again and that would be my small business. So that is the whole reason behind strive. I will do my absolute best to see it through and work hard to make it happen.

FLOURISH ||This word drew me in because of how happy and lively it sounds. This is what I want to do this year. I want to flourish! I want to work on growing and developing myself by becoming stronger by running in the spring, taking time for selfcare and finding the happiness in my everyday life.

BALANCE || This one is always a struggle and this year it will be the most important! With 2 kids, a home business, a dog, husband, house and myself finding the the perfect balance of all these things will be very challenging.

NOURISH || To nourish is not only fill ones self with good food but to also fill ones mind with great knowledge. I wish to nourish how family with healthier options but also with great books and teach our children great valuable lessons.

PATIENCE || Ahh this one has already been tested this year many times. As Greyson is growing he is becoming a smart, creative, and persistent little boy. And with his persistence comes the tantrums! So that is why I am trying to be patient, he is navigating his emotions and it can be hard. I will do my best to be patient and offer hugs instead of raising my voice.

And just like that, those are my five words for 2021! I know we all had big ideas, hope, and dreams that this year would come and it would be the light at the end of the tunnel. However, I do not know if that is the case. But what I do know is that striving to do great, nourishing my family so we can flourish, and being patient as the world finds its balance again is I all I can do.

Cheers to 2021 and I wish you all a wonderful year.

xoxo, Taylor
