Back to school is 2 weeks away! How did the summer go by so fast? Seriously it’s like I blinked and now it is over. But I am excited for the cozy weather to come. Today let’s talk about my school favorites. No the kids are not in elementary school yet but Greyson is going to preschool and both of them are in daycare. Plus being an Early Childhood Educator I have definitely seen my fair share of school items! Some I love and some are a bust.
Today I am sharing the ones I love and have loved for quite some time now. They work great, have lasted us 1-2 years already and I know that they work. So lets dive into litter less lunches, fashionable back to school wear and remind your children that reusing last years back pack or supplies is OKAY! OOO and the best part I tell you where to buy them in town if you can!
My Back To School Favourites
Mountaintop Backpacks – HERE
Greyson has been using this backpack since he started daycare in 2019 and it is amazing, big enough for what he needs but not so big he can not pack it, water bottle side pockets, identification card slot, chest clip and comfy straps. Plus the price is not to cheap or expensive and it washes very well.
PC Bento Box and Snack Box – HERE
I found these in super store and bought the kids each a set! They are a lunch game changer seriously a must buy item you will thank yourself. No need to search for the right container instead all you have to do is fill them up and your done! Plus the price point is only $15.00. Only draw back is they are in store purchase only!

One of my lunch bag musts is that is needs to be insulated! There is nothing worse that having a warm yogurt or melting cheese on warm days. Plus that is a risk of sickness, so remember to add and ice pack and get an insulated back.
School Clothing – HERE
There are lots of places I shop from but my go to for back to school is Old Navy the prices are great and they always have amazing sales! Some other places that have beautiful colours and sets are HnM and Zara. But my favorite place to shop is the thrift store, you’ll be shocked what you can find.
Wishing all of you mamas out there a good back to school and may the routine fall into places quickly and peacefully! I bet it can be challenging, I know it is with the routine of daycare, I can only imagine that school is harder. So remember to give yourself grace, be patient with your littles and get them helping to help take to the load off of you
Happy back to school! And remember that this is a great time to reuse what you already have, buy something that will last a few years, ages and stages. Not only will it save you in the long run but it is a great teaching lesson on why it is important to use what you have or donate what you are not using anymore! You got this!
