And the Secret can finally be let out! Greyson is finally here and coming home. At 40 weeks and 3 days, our little bundle of joy made his way into the world! His red hair and bright blue eyes stole the hearts of both Jeremy and I. Having a baby is the definition of love at first sight! I have so much I could say for this post but I will make it short and sweet by letting you know how the first week home with Greyson has gone.

| The Hospital Stay |

Greyson was born Tuesday, October 30th at 10:20 pm in our local hospital. The birth was all natural, vaginal, no medication and no induction. Little Greyson came 3 days after his due date and we couldn’t be any happier with how everything turned out. It honestly went perfectly! After Greyson was born we stayed in the hospital for about 2 days. Those two days were full of emotions, learning and overall love! We had so many visitors and I am so thankful for every single one they kept the days full.

| Our First Week Home |

When Thursday hit, our last day in the hospital we were both relieved and ready to get back to the comfort of our own home. Hospital beds are really uncomfortable and the food is definitely not the same as a home cooked meal! Jeremy had the week off so we had a few days to spend it as a family learning all the little things about Greyson from coos to caas, what he likes and dislikes and so much more.

Over the week we went on our first walk with the stroller and it works amazing! We also tried out the Infantino carrier and Greyson seems to be happy with it! We gave him his first bath and although he wasn’t a fan I am sure he will start to take a liking to them once he is a little older. As for Lexi, she is coming around surely but slowly. At first, she didn’t care for him at all, then she avoided him, and now she is finally smelling him.

Overall the first week was definitely an emotional time for me, the thought of how quickly everything changed in combination with the constant visiting and visitors and lack of sleep was a little overwhelming. But as we head into week two and week three I wouldn’t change a single thing. I am blessed and beyond happy to have Greyson here and have started our little family. We can not wait to see what the coming years will bring.

Thank you for reading and stay tuned for so many more baby updates from baby shower to nursery tour and so much more. Stay tuned to show what is in my closet and Greyson’s as well plus tune into my Instagram for all the baby pictures on my story.
