Mistakes are proof that you are trying and doubts kill more dreams than failure ever will!

I can not believe that February is almost over, that means that march and spring is just around the corner! I know I am excited for the snow to melt, the flowers to start blooming and the spring showers and sun to brighten the days. With Spring comes the decline of the New Year Resolutions! Don’t let the changing season and the hustle and bustle of life get you down and have you leaving your Resolutions for next year or month.

We all have our fair share of slip-ups when it comes to reaching our goals. Trust me I slip up just as much as you! So don’t let one step backward get you down, you only need one step forward to have you back on track. If you want that cookie, eat it! If you want that new shirt, buy it! If you want that vanilla, hazelnut latte, drink it! Just remember moderation is key in any situation.

Whether you want to hit that weight loss goal, crush that water intake goal or reach that savings goal you can achieve it. All you need is a little motivation, determination and these 5 tips to achieve any goal and you will crush whatever goal you set your mind to. So what are you waiting for let’s get to achieving our goals together!

| One | Remember Why You Started

This is the most important step to crushing your goal. Remind yourself why you started and do it daily but, also look back to where you were at the beginning to see how far you have come. Just one week or one month can make a world of difference. If you are embarking on a weight loss journey take a picture to remind you of the progress you have made. Or if you are saving, make yourself a fun money jar and display it in your room. And whenever you feel you are going off track think back to why you stared.

| Two | Break It Down

Whether you are trying to conquer a small goal or a big goal break it down into little manageable goals. Make a step by step plan that is easy to follow and be prepared for each and everyday day by writing it down. Put it in your journal or planner, share your goals with your friends, put them in your phone. Just remind yourself what you are achieving! If you are trying to drink more water slowly up your intake 1 or 2 cups a day or if you are trying to cut down on sugar eliminate one thing at a time. Once you master the first steps you will find it soooo much easier to jump into the big steps. Not to mention your likely hood of failing is reduced to almost nothing.

| Three | Don’t Let A Setback Hold You Back

Did you indulge in that chocolate chip cookie or skip a few glasses of water for a hot tea or cup to fruity juice? Good! That means you are human like the rest of us. Don’t let one little “mistake” or one step backwards make you run from your goals because guess what, one little slip won’t throw your whole diet off or drain your bank account if you are trying to save. So if you do have a little slip up go back, look at how far you have come and remind yourself what you are working towards and why you are working towards it. Remember, every day is a new day to tell yourself you will CRUSH that goal!

| Four | Treat Yourself

Oh the dreaded treat, will it throw off your whole progress? Of course not! In fact, it can actually help you achieve your goals and stay on top of them. Sounds odd, I know, but trust me just as much as you want to crush that goal you also need to treat yourself and take a break from time to time. A treat doesn’t have to be a sweet treat, it can be something simple like taking time for yourself. If your goal is to save for a big trip you could treat yourself with some travel goodies or if you are trying to hit the gym regularly you could treat yourself to some new workout gear.

| Five | Make It Fun

Don’t set a goal that you have not interest in or it will be boring! Well at least that is how it is for me, so I always try to make it as fun as possible whether that means making an inspiring board on Pinterest or making a real inspiring board for home. Pull out those magazines, get the scissors and glue and get to making that dream come true because the reminder is a daily reminder. If you are not the creative type that is okay because you can still make achieving a goal fun. Try breaking down a large goal into small weekly or bi-weekly goals and give yourself a little prize each time you achieve that little goal. You could reward yourself with a nail polish, a new lipstick or put ten dollars away into a jar then get yourself something nice once you hit that big goal!

What do you think? Does achieving your goals seem easier now? Perfect, just what I was hoping for. Now set yourself some goals and CRUSH them!  Just remember these 5 tips and watch as your goals become habits. But most importantly remember that if you fall all you need to do is get back up and try again. Every day is a new day to achieve what you want.

I have 3 weekly goals right now! They are to stay hydrated and drink at least 2000ml of water a day, stay on top of my school work (I did not do a much as I should have over reading break, oops!) and to eat healthily. Now you know what my goals are and how to CRUSH your own goals be sure to tell me what your goals are in the comments?! Or let me know what you do to CRUSH your own goals?!
