It is officially summer time! This year is a little different though. Greyson is out of school, Emberly is taking a break from daycare, it’s baby Hazel’s first summer, and I am off of work. So that means mama is home for the summer with a house of little feet and sticky hands. Excitement doesn’t describe how I am feeling to get to spend these little moments with them.
Making the decision to pull Emberly from daycare was a challenging one, I know she loves going to to play with her friends but she is turning 4 so that means I only get this last year with her before she starts Kindergarten (I know I can’t believe it either). My husband and I talked, I ran it by some family and my dads perspective really hit it home. He said “You should keep her home! You only get so many summers together, spend every minute you can with them before they are grown”. That sweet little saying really sealed the deal for me.
So join us this summer as we tick off some summer bucket list items, practice for the upcoming grade, spend our weekends camping and spend our days in nature with our adventure bags and craft ideas from YourWildBooks.
