A while back I said I was going to share our big surprise number 2 and here it finally is! We have officially bought our very first house. EKKK! We could not be more excited and the perfect little starter home just happened to come around at the perfect time. With baby number two on the way and Greyson’s energy levels going up it was time to find a new place.
Although the house we found isn’t a diamond, it has so much potential! And I can not wait for it to all come together. We are doing a complete renovation upstairs with some minor changes to the basement. But I am looking forward to making the house organized and cohesive. I am ready to let me inner interior designer come one out!
| From House To Loving Home |
I love all aspects of designing a space but this time around I have a “theme” that I want to stick to, and that would be a ‘modern farmhouse’. I love the mixture of warm and cool colors, natural and handcrafted decor and the simplicity it can have. So if you’d like to see some of my house and home inspo check out some of the photos below or my Pinterest board.
I want to pull from natural light and elements such as wood and different aspects of nature to make our house feel like home. Below are some examples of what I want to achieve. A fireplace centerpiece in our living room, an inviting kitchen with tall cabinets, a bright bathroom with ample storage, a fun accent wall in our master bedroom, a Montessori bedroom for Greyson and an adorable nursery of course!
Now one thing to keep in mind is these renovations will happen over time as we can get them done. So as much as I would love to blink and have them all done that just is not practicable. But that means I will be sharing lots of house updates in the next little while so stay tuned because this is a house flip that you will definitely want to see!
